Brief Introduction to Single Hydraulic Cylinder

1. What is single hydraulic cylinder?

Single hydraulic cylinder refers to the hydraulic cylinder with pressure oil input only from one side of the piston. The reset of the piston can only be assisted by a spring, by the weight of the piston, or by external force, and the single hydraulic cylinder basically has only an effective acting area. According to the technical structure, this kind of cylinder can only produce thrust, therefore, it is more widely used in lifting platform, lifting machinery and equipment, crane machinery and equipment and other lifting equipment.

The single hydraulic cylinder manufactured by Hebei Golden-hammer Forgings Co., Ltd. has a wide range of inner diameters and strokes, and the installation method can be customized according to customer needs. The use of outer ring threads, plunger threads and bottom mounting holes makes it easy for positioning (for most models). The design is suitable for the use in any installation position. It has high-strength return spring and high corrosion resistance with the paint surface. All models contain JZT6 quick connection and dustproof cap. The dustproof sealing ring can reduce pollution and extend the service life of hydraulic cylinder. In addition, we also provide forklift hydraulic cylinder, excavator hydraulic cylinder and others.

2. Characteristics of single hydraulic cylinders

Single hydraulic cylinder is generally a plunger type hydraulic cylinder, because the plunger type hydraulic cylinder has the following characteristics:

(1) Plunger type hydraulic cylinder is a single oil cylinder, which can only achieve one direction movement with the hydraulic pressure; the plunger return stroke of the hydraulic cylinder depends on other external forces or the weight of the plunger;

(2) The plunger is only supported by the cylinder liner but not in contact with the cylinder liner, so the cylinder liner is easy to be processed, and it is more suitable for the production of long stroke hydraulic cylinder;

(3) The plunger is always under pressure when it is working, so in the selection of hydraulic cylinder plunger material, you must select plungers with enough stiffness;

(4) The hydraulic cylinder plunger is often heavy, and it is easy to sag due to its weight when placed horizontally, resulting in unilateral wear of seals and guides. Therefore, the mechanical equipment is vertical in the actual use, so that there is more advantageous to prolong the service life of the hydraulic cylinder.
